PRBLEM Attachment Rescue is a safety-first attachment health, diagnostics and recovery system built specifically for XenForo.
It continuously helps administrators identify attachment storage problems before they become visible to members. Attachment Rescue compares XenForo attachment records with the configured storage backend and separates healthy files, recoverable thumbnail problems, review-only conditions and blocked situations where an automatic repair would not be safe.
The built-in Full Scan processes attachment data and relations in bounded, resumable batches, making it suitable for both small communities and large forums. Recoverable missing-thumbnail problems can be handled through the Recovery Center, where every item is revalidated immediately before a write is performed.
PRBLEM Attachment Rescue does not blindly modify attachment data. Missing originals, broken relations, storage outages and uncertain conditions remain protected and read-only. Automatic repair is limited to conditions that can be verified safely.
The add-on also includes a Live Recovery Drill that can prove the complete detection and recovery workflow using a real attachment thumbnail with snapshot-first rollback protection, as well as a private Recovery Test Lab that validates the recovery path without modifying production attachment records.
