PRBLEM Sweep

PRBLEM Sweep helps you find and safely clean the clutter WordPress leaves behind. It scans database records, possible unused media, duplicate files, removed-plugin residue, autoloaded options and scheduled Cron tasks while separating findings by risk. Safe cleanup operations can be performed in bounded batches, while uncertain data stays protected for review. Recovery points, cleanup rules and Never Touch protection add another layer of control before anything important is changed.

What it does

PRBLEM Sweep is built for WordPress administrators, developers, freelancers and site owners who want to maintain older or frequently modified WordPress installations without relying on aggressive one-click cleanup tools. It is especially useful for sites that have changed themes, installed and removed many plugins, accumulated revisions and metadata over time, or built up a large Media Library. PRBLEM Sweep focuses on showing what was found, why it may matter and what can be cleaned safely before asking you to take action.

Product brief

About this product

PRBLEM Sweep is a safety-first cleanup and maintenance utility for WordPress.

Instead of treating everything that looks unused as disposable, PRBLEM Sweep scans the database, media library, scheduled tasks and plugin residue, then separates findings into safe, review and protected states.

Clean expired transients, old drafts, orphaned metadata and other bounded database clutter. Inspect possible unused media, detect byte-identical duplicate images, review large autoloaded options, examine WordPress Cron events and investigate data that may have been left behind by removed plugins.

PRBLEM Sweep also includes Recovery Guard, cleanup rules, Never Touch protection and before/after cleanup reports. Potentially destructive or uncertain operations are deliberately restricted. Plugin residue, unknown options, database tables and scheduled tasks are never automatically deleted simply because their names look related to an old plugin.

Built for people who want a cleaner WordPress installation without turning maintenance into a guessing game.

Safety boundary

What this tool never does

  • PRBLEM Sweep is intentionally conservative.
  • It does not automatically delete a database table simply because its name resembles a removed plugin.
  • It does not automatically delete plugin residue options, metadata, Cron hooks or Action Scheduler hooks based only on naming evidence.
  • It does not permanently delete possible unused or duplicate media during normal cleanup actions. Supported media actions use WordPress Trash.
  • It does not allow REVIEW or PROTECTED findings to silently become SAFE bulk-cleanup requests.
  • It does not disable or rewrite autoload settings from the Autoload Inspector.
  • It does not automatically unschedule WordPress Cron events from the Cron Inspector.
  • It does not overwrite existing post or comment IDs when restoring a recovery point.
  • Recovery Guard is not a complete WordPress backup solution. Always maintain a normal site backup for production websites before major maintenance or infrastructure changes.

Installation

  1. Download PRBLEM Sweep as a ZIP package.
  2. In WordPress Admin, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin.
  3. Choose the PRBLEM Sweep ZIP file and select Install Now.
  4. Activate PRBLEM Sweep.
  5. Open WordPress Admin → PRBLEM Sweep.
  6. Start with Overview and review the detected SAFE, REVIEW and PROTECTED findings before performing cleanup.
  7. For production websites, keeping a normal full-site backup in addition to PRBLEM Sweep Recovery Guard is recommended.
