Safety boundary

What this tool never does

  • Sponsor Showcase never automatically injects third-party advertisements or sponsor records. Every sponsor and destination is configured by an authorized XenForo administrator.
  • It does not redirect visitors through an external Prblem tracking service, scrape sponsor websites, execute remote sponsor code, collect payment information, create visitor profiles or send Sponsor Showcase analytics to Prblem.
  • It does not modify XenForo core files. Installation and upgrades use the standard XenForo add-on system and add-on-owned database tables/configuration.
  • External network requests only occur when they are inherently requested by the administrator's configuration, such as loading an externally hosted logo or when a visitor chooses to open a sponsor destination URL.

Installation

  1. Install using XenForo's standard add-on archive installation/upgrade workflow.
  2. If archive installation is unavailable on the server, upload the contents of the package's upload/ directory to the XenForo installation root and install Sponsor Showcase from Admin CP → Add-ons.
  3. After installation, open Admin CP → Appearance → Sponsor Showcase. Create sponsor groups and sponsor records, configure logos, categories, descriptions and campaign settings, then use Design Studio to choose the global presentation.
  4. Finally, create a XenForo widget using the Sponsor Showcase widget definition and place it in the desired widget position.
  5. Recommended rail defaults:

  9. Upgrades preserve existing sponsors, groups, campaigns, analytics and Design Studio configuration.

License, updates & privacy

License

  • One purchase grants a license for one production XenForo installation/domain. One private development or staging installation for that same licensed site is permitted.
  • The license is perpetual for the versions obtained while your update entitlement is active. You may modify the add-on for your own licensed installation. You may not redistribute, share, resell, sublicense, publish or include the add-on or substantial portions of its source code in another product or download.
  • A separate license is required for each additional production XenForo installation. The license does not include a XenForo license, hosting, domain registration, custom development or third-party services.

Updates

  • Includes 12 months of product updates from the purchase date. Updates may include bug fixes, compatibility updates, refinements and new features at the developer's discretion.
  • When the update period expires, the last version obtained during the active entitlement may continue to be used on the licensed installation. Renewal is only required to download versions released after the entitlement expires. The add-on does not disable its runtime features when the update period ends.

Support

  • Includes 12 months of support for the licensed installation while the update/support entitlement is active.
  • Support covers installation guidance, configuration questions, reproducible add-on defects and reasonable troubleshooting on supported XenForo/PHP versions.
  • Support does not include custom feature development, custom theme design, unrelated XenForo/server administration, third-party add-on repair, data-entry services or guaranteed compatibility with every custom style or third-party modification.
  • Bug reports should include the XenForo version, PHP version, Sponsor Showcase version, reproduction steps and relevant error details where available.

Privacy

  • Sponsor Showcase does not send telemetry, sponsor analytics, site information, license data or visitor data to Prblem. It does not require a Prblem account, remote license-validation request or external analytics API to operate.
  • Impression and click tracking uses a local route on the XenForo installation and stores aggregated sponsor ID/date/count data in the site's own XenForo database. The tracking code does not create its own visitor cookie and does not store visitor IP addresses, email addresses or browser fingerprints in Sponsor Showcase analytics tables.
  • If an administrator configures an external logo URL, the visitor's browser may request that image from the configured host. Clicking a sponsor card opens the destination URL configured by the administrator. Uploaded logos are stored through XenForo's external-data storage system.
  • Administrative operation history is stored locally and may record the XenForo administrator user ID associated with sponsor-management actions.
