About this product

PRBLEM Header Style Switcher moves XenForo’s native Light, Dark and System appearance control from the footer into the main header navigation.

Instead of creating a separate dark mode system, the add-on reuses XenForo’s built-in style variation functionality. This keeps appearance switching consistent with XenForo itself while making the control easier to reach.

The switcher is placed beside the existing header controls and can be configured from the XenForo Admin CP.

The original footer switcher can optionally be hidden, allowing the header control to become the primary appearance selector.

Header Style Switcher is designed as a lightweight quality-of-life add-on. It does not replace your style, modify XenForo core files or introduce a separate theme engine.

  • Does not require database schema changes for its core functionality.

Installation

  1. Download the PRBLEM Header Style Switcher ZIP package.
  2. Open your XenForo Admin CP.
  3. Go to Add-ons.
  4. Choose Install/upgrade from archive.
  5. Upload the PRBLEM-Header-Style-Switcher ZIP package.
  6. Complete the XenForo installation process.
  7. After installation, open:
  8. Setup → Options → PRBLEM - Header Style Switcher
  9. Enable the header switcher and configure its visibility options.
  10. If necessary, use Icon vertical adjustment to align the appearance icon with your active XenForo style.
  11. No manual file upload or XenForo core file modification is required.
